- Reducing Health Disparities - Roles of the Health Sector: Recommended Policy Directions and Activities - Report from Canada
Canada has released their report containing policy recommendations with respect to the roles of the health sector in addressing health disparities. Major health disparities exist throughout Canada, and there is an increasing emphasis in Canada, as elsewhere, on the need to adopt policies and take other actions to reduce them. - California County Report Outlines Strategies to Reduce Childhood Obesity
The San Mateo County Board of Supervisors released a report detailing several strategies to reduce weight gain among children. The "Blueprint for Prevention of Childhood Obesity: A Call to Action," offers action plans in five areas, including the community, schools, after school, preschool/child care services, and healthcare.
