The Trust for Public Land has produced a policy brief and fact sheet to explicate the relationship between obesity-related health disparities and park inequities experienced in low income communities of color. The policy brief makes the case for public funding measures for parks, playgrounds, community gardens and other physical activity venues as a viable policy solution to address these inequities. The fact sheet that outlines the interrelationships between health disparities, overweight and obesity, physical activity and access to parks in California.
